LHGM General Operating Grant

The Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation offers General Operating Grants aimed at 501(c)(3) nonprofits that serve the west side of Salt Lake City. Grants of up to $10,000, with an average of $5,000, support initiatives in health, shelter, education, economic self-reliance, and cultural enrichment. Applications are reviewed monthly. Organizations must be registered as nonprofits and align with the Foundation's focus areas to be eligible for funding.

The Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation is dedicated to enriching lives and communities by partnering with 501(c)(3) nonprofits that provide services and equitable access in the following areas:

• General Operating (GO) Grants

For the General Operating (GO) grants the Foundation considers requests of $10,000 or less, with an average grant size of $5,000. Applications are reviewed monthly. If your organization is a first-time applicant or is newer/smaller and does not have a program that primarily serves the west side of Salt Lake City, we recommend that you apply for the General Operating (GO) Grant.

Eligibility

Organizations must:
Currently be designated and registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service.Have a request that falls within one of the five programmatic areas listed above.

Ineligibility

The Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation does not provide grants to:
Individuals seeking personal financial aid.Political, labor or fraternal organizations.Charitable organizations established outside of the U.S.The Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation does not accept unsolicited requests for:
National fundraising organizations that do not have demonstrated impact in Utah.Organizations whose programs and impact are focused outside of Utah.Cities, counties and other municipalities.Medical research.General endowments.Individual public schools or PTA/PTO groups that do not come through school district foundation offices.Recreational, amateur or competitive athletic teams.Colleges/universities that do not come through development/advancement offices.
