LHGM Strategic Initiative Grant

The LHGM Strategic Initiative Grant, offered by the Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation, supports 501(c)(3) nonprofits with requests over $50,000. Nonprofits must submit a one-page concept outline for consideration. Grants are not available for individuals, political organizations, or entities outside the U.S., ensuring focus on impactful local community services.

The Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation is dedicated to enriching lives and communities by partnering with 501(c)(3) nonprofits that provide services and equitable access in the following areas:

• Health and MedicineShelter and Food SecurityEducation and Skill DevelopmentJobs and Economic Self-relianceCultural and Spiritual Enrichment
• Strategic Initiative Grants

These grants consider requests of more than $50,000. They require submission of a one-page concept outline (letter of inquiry). If approved for further review, you will be asked to complete an application.

Eligibility

Organizations must:
Currently be designated and registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service.Have a request that falls within one of the five programmatic areas listed above.

Ineligibility

The Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation does not provide grants to:

• Individuals seeking personal financial aid.Political, labor or fraternal organizations.Charitable organizations established outside of the U.S.
• The Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation does not accept unsolicited requests for:

National fundraising organizations that do not have demonstrated impact in Utah.Organizations whose programs and impact are focused outside of Utah.Cities, counties and other municipalities.Medical research.General endowments.Individual public schools or PTA/PTO groups that do not come through school district foundation offices.Recreational, amateur or competitive athletic teams.Colleges/universities that do not come through development/advancement offices.
