The Hawai‘i Community Foundation is honored to provide a wealth of financial support to qualified students and nonprofit organizations throughout Hawai‘i. HCF invests charitable funds in communities across the State primarily through nonprofit organizations. Our core programs are designed to support a stronger nonprofit sector as we believe that these organizations are one cornerstone of a vibrant civic society. We administer a number of grant making programs with targeted purposes or an island-based focus. We create grant programs that deliver solid results efficiently while informing our impact work and knowledge assets. HCF Criteria Be a resident of the State of HawaiiDemonstrate financial needBe in good academic standing by maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0Donor Criteria Pursuing a degree in the following fields of study: Biochemistry, Biology, Biomedical, Biotechnology, Gerontology, Health Science, Medical Assisting, Medical Laboratory, Medical Technology, Medicine, Molecular and Cell Biology, Molecular Biosciences and Biotechnology, Neuroscience, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Nursing, Nutrition, Optometry, Physician Assistant, Radiology Technology, Respiratory Care, Speech Pathology or Ultrasound Technology.Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5Students who graduated from one of the following high schools: Kohala High School, Honoka’a High School, Kealakehe High School, Lanai High School, Molokai High School, Waimea High School, Kapa’a High School, Kauai High School, Maui High School, or Lahainaluna.
