Laura Jean Armstrong Fund This scholarship was created in memory of Dr. Laura Jean Armstrong, a nurse extraordinaire. Beginning her professional career as a registered nurse in private practice, Dr. Armstrong joined the Hawai'i State Department of Health in 1968. As a public servant, she passionately worked to improve the health and welfare of the underserved until her untimely death.
