Overview: Established in 1994, this scholarship fund honors the enduring legacy of Dr. L. A. Hollinger, a distinguished pulmonologist, educator, and colleague. The fund supports future nurses and respiratory therapists.

About Dr. Hollinger:

Kansas University School of Medicine graduate

Founded and directed the Department of Pulmonary Medicine at Baptist Medical Center

Established the School of Respiratory Therapy at Johnson County Community College (JCCC)

Baptist Medical Center Physician of the Year (1977)

Baptist Medical Center Teacher of the Year (1980 and 1986)

Eligibility:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing students

Top JCCC Respiratory Therapy graduates (for certification exam coverage)

Applicants must reflect one or more of Dr. Hollinger's core values:
