L-A-D Foundation Grant Program

The L-A-D Foundation Grant Program, established in 1962, is dedicated to conserving the natural and cultural resources of the Missouri Ozarks. Through partnerships and community support, the Foundation has awarded over $600,000 in grants to eligible 501(c)(3) organizations. Projects may focus on conservation education, community engagement, and innovative initiatives within a 12-county service area. The program encourages applications that align with its mission to enhance ecological and cultural sustainability.

The Foundation also acquires and preserves in the public interest outstanding areas of natural, geologic, cultural or historic interest. In addition, the Foundation provides support to various projects consistent with its conservation goals, with a particular focus on the Missouri Ozark region.
Grantmaking and Community Support
The L-A-D Foundation supports organizations whose work benefits the conservation of natural and cultural resources in the Missouri Ozarks. During its history the foundation has awarded more than $600,000 in small grants to more than 65 nonprofit and public interest organizations. The foundation expresses its interest in engaging young people from the Ozarks through providing scholarships and supporting conservation projects involving students.
The L-A-D Foundation, in partnership with the Community Foundation of the Ozarks as a grantmaking service provider, invites applications from nonprofit and public interest organizations whose work benefits the natural and cultural resources of the Missouri Ozarks in its 12-county service area and aligns with the mission of the L-A-D Foundation.
The L-A-D Foundation seeks innovative projects that support the conservation of the natural and cultural resources of the Missouri Ozarks. Projects may include environmental and conservation education, grassroots organizing, new program start-up costs, capital support, seed money, and workshops. A 12-month grant period is preferred, but multi-year projects may be considered.

Eligibility

501(c)3 organizations or other IRS-approved entities (government entities, school districts, and churches) working in Carter, Crawford, Dent, Madison, Maries, Oregon, Perry, Reynolds, Ripley, Ste. Genevieve, Shannon, or Texas counties are eligible to apply.Proposed projects must occur in one of the aforementioned counties to be eligible for this grant program.

Ineligibility

No requests for annual or operating support or support for social events or benefits are considered.
