Regional Everyone Outdoors Grant Program

The Regional Everyone Outdoors Grant Program, offered by the Community Foundation of the Ozarks, aims to enhance community engagement with the natural resources of the Ozarks. Nonprofit organizations, government entities, and schools in rural Missouri are invited to apply for funding to support innovative outdoor programming. Ideal projects focus on low-income neighborhoods and include environmental education, equipment purchase, and community gathering space enhancement. This grant does not require matching funds, promoting broader participation in outdoor activities.

Community Foundation of the Ozarks
The Community Foundation of the Ozarks (CFO) provides philanthropic leadership to build stronger communities. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life in our region through resource development, community grantmaking, collaboration and public leadership.
We help donors achieve their philanthropic goals through professional management and investment of charitable funds. We work with nonprofit organizations to help them fulfill their missions through fund administration, grantmaking and learning opportunities. We award scholarships to deserving students to help them achieve their educational goals.
The Community Foundation of the Ozarks is committed to connecting our region's residents to the abundant natural resources and outdoor community programming. Eligible organizations (nonprofit 501(c)3 organizations, government entities, school districts, or tax-exempt faith-based organizations) in the CFO's service area are encouraged to apply. This includes rural Missouri south of the Missouri River and outside the metro areas of St. Louis and Kansas City.
Ideal projects will focus on engaging residents, particularly individuals living in low-income and high density neighborhoods, with the Ozarks outdoors. Examples of potential programs may include: educational environmental programs, expansion of staff time for existing outdoor programming, the purchase of outdoor equipment for public usage, and supplies for outdoor neighborhood gathering space enhancement. The CFO welcomes innovative ideas which support outdoor community placemaking.
This is a single-year grant program with final reporting due one year from grant receipt.
Agencies are welcome to apply for funding to cover part of a larger expense if either 1) funding has been secured for the remaining costs, or 2) the expense can be split into clear parts, with this grant supporting one of those parts.
This program does not involve a matching component from the CFO; however other matching, leverage, and in-kind opportunities are strongly encouraged.
