Kreider Alliance Educational Scholarship Program

Award: Up to five scholarships annually, ranging from $500 to $1,000 each

Geographic Scope: Residents of or high school attendees in Daviess, Lee, or Whiteside County

Focus Areas: Education in fields related to people with disabilities, including:

• Human Services
• Physical Therapy (PT)
• Occupational Therapy (OT)
• Speech Therapy (SPT)
• Special Education
• Therapeutic Recreation
• Nursing (LPN or RN)
• Psychology
• Social Work

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet ALL of the following:

• Be a resident of, or attend high school in, Daviess, Lee, or Whiteside County
• Be enrolling or currently enrolled in:
  • An accredited college or university, OR
  • A two-year associate degree or four-year bachelor degree program
• Be studying in a field related to people with disabilities

Selection Criteria

Scholarship selection is based on:

• Financial need
• Scholastic ability (transcripts required)
• One-page essay about yourself and your plans during and after college
• Three goals in your prospective occupation
• Two letters of recommendation
• School, work, and community activities
