Provider: The Village of Progress Foundation, made possible through the generosity of the Cacciatore Family

Geographic Scope: Ogle County residents only

Background: The Cacciatores have been long-time supporters of the Village of Progress. Wanda Cacciatore served on the Village of Progress Board of Directors for 10 years beginning in 1988 and has served on the Foundation's Board for almost 30 years. This scholarship honors her husband, Pete, who was an enthusiastic supporter of the Village and its mission. Pete passed away in fall 2014.

Eligibility

• Must be a resident of Ogle County
• Must be either:
- A high school senior who is disabled or planning to attend college and major in an area related to disabilities, OR - A full-time undergraduate college student who is disabled or majoring in an area related to disabilities

Application Requirements

• Financial status is not a consideration
• Completed on the Foundation application form
• At least two written references required
• Applications must be received by March 15 each year
