NOTE: Organizations wishing to submit a grant request must first contact the foundation office to register their intent to submit the request. At that time they will be provided helpful information and assistance. If the request meets preliminary qualification criteria, the applicant will be assigned a login and password to the online application form.The Kantzler Foundation Board meets up to four times per year to review grant applications. Applications must be received by the published deadlines to be considered at the following quarterly meeting. Since its inception in 1975, its governing board has distributed over $9 million in grants to support worthwhile programs and projects in the Greater Bay Area. Nearly every area resident has been touched by the beneficial investments this foundation has made in our community. The work of the foundation has been a testament to the enormous impact that one generous individual can have on a community long after his death. Mission Statement The Kantzler Foundation provides financial support for charitable projects and programs that directly benefit the residents of Bay County, Michigan, in areas such as: EducationScienceArtsCultureHuman ServicesConservationBeautificationRecreation While the Foundation has supported requests for equipment, programming, planning, scholarships, and specific operating expenses on a case by case basis, the primary focus has been directed toward the development or acquisition of tangible community assets, attractions and facilities. The Foundation seeks opportunities to support projects which benefit large population segments and contribute to a master plan for a safe, healthy, and vibrant community. Kantzler Foundation resources are used to encourage and reward coordination and collaboration between and among organizations.
