Junior Gardener Program Grants By supporting school gardens, the San Clemente Garden Club creates opportunities for students to develop healthy lifestyles, to have a deeper understanding of natural systems, and to become better stewards of the Earth. Priority for the awarding of grants will be given to those programs, which emphasize one or more of the following elements: Healthy life skills through growing and harvesting one’s own foodEnvironmental education through water conservation, habitat development, and CA native plantsInspiring future scientists through investigations in the natural worldInvolving students in the personal stewardship of their school gardens through after-school garden maintenance Funding Selected new or existing school garden programs are granted up to $500. With a limit of one grant per school year.Eligibility
