Josh Turner Scholarship Fund for the Arts In keeping with Josh Turner’s journey to a successful career in the music industry in spite of having grown up without the benefit of a comprehensive arts program in his high school, he established a Scholarship Fund at the CFMT to support students from rural areas in ten southern states wishing to enter the music business or undertake a career in the arts. The Josh Turner Scholarship Fund supports students planning a career that will introduce them to various opportunities in the music business, from performing, writing, or publishing to managing or producing, or some discipline of the arts, such as graphic design, photography, or painting.

Eligibility

Those eligible to apply must be high school seniors from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee wishing to enter the music business or undertake a career in the arts. It is intended to benefit students primarily from rural areas, and applicants must be focusing on a career that will introduce them to various opportunities in the music business or some discipline of the arts.
