LaHaunn Moore Hope Scholarship Fund Grant

The LaHaunn Moore Hope Scholarship Fund, established by the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, honors Chief Moore's legacy of service and leadership. This renewable scholarship supports students pursuing higher education, particularly those graduating from MNPS schools, with a preference for Pearl-Cohn High School. Eligible applicants must demonstrate academic excellence with a minimum GPA of 2.8 and active involvement in their communities. The fund aims to inspire future leaders through education and community service.

The LaHaunn Moore Hope Scholarship Fund has been established in honor of Chief Moore, an alumnus of Pearl-Cohn High School and Nashville Public Schools. The LaHaunn Moore Hope Scholarship Fund seeks to honor Chief Moore’s values of service and leadership and to inspire students as they achieve goals of higher education and community service.

Eligibility

This is a renewable scholarship for students pursuing a 2 year or 4-year degree. Students eligible to apply are students enrolling in a technical school program, community college, or university/college. Applicants must be graduating from a MNPS school with preference given to students from Pearl-Cohn High School. Applicants must be in good academic standing with a minimum 2.8 GPA. The fund is need-based and students must demonstrate leadership in their school/community, participation in extracurricular activities, experience in a job, and/or balancing home responsibilities.
