Overview

For over 100 years, The Foundation for Enhancing Communities (TFEC) has been supporting the philanthropic interests of donors who want to effect change in their communities. Scholarships It is through the generosity of local individuals, families, and businesses that we are able to offer more than 190 scholarship opportunities. TFEC is the largest provider of scholarships in South Central, Pennsylvania, awarding over $1.7 million in scholarships to more than 400 local students alone through various scholarship funds administered by TFEC and through management agreements with the Samuel L. Abrams Foundation, the Leon Lowengard and Ray S. Shoemaker scholarships of BNY Mellon, N.A. and York Rotary Club. Joseph L. and Vivian E. Steele Architecture Scholarship Students who are present or former residents of one of the following Pennsylvania counties: Adams, Bedford, Blair, Centre, Clinton, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Fulton, Huntingdon, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lycoming, Mifflin, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Snyder, Tioga, Union, or York, and studying in the final three years of a NAAB accredited Bachelor of Architecture program OR in a graduate program leading to a Master of Architecture degree. Renewability Recipients of this scholarship may apply again for each consecutive year.
