Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacy The Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacy (TSHP) is a dynamic professional membership association which serves Texas health-system pharmacy professionals dedicated to the mission, vision, core values, philosophy, soul, spirit, and motto of TSHP. Mission: Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacy is a strong and vibrant membership-driven society of pharmacists, technicians, students, and professional colleagues who advocate for optimized patient care, professional practice, and public health. Vision: Leading the pharmacy profession by advancing patient care. TSHP Research and Education Foundation The TSHP R&E Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving health outcomes for Texans by funding numerous activities that advance healthcare through pharmacy research and education. The TSHP Research and Education (R&E) Foundation has been advancing health-system pharmacy practice though education, research, and professional development since 1977. Today, the Foundation’s managed assets and cash total around $918,000. TSHP R&E Foundation Scholarships The TSHP Research & Education (R&E) Foundation has been supporting our pharmacy community in Texas since 1977, reminding us of our shared strength in helping one another. Scholarships of $500 to $1,500 are awarded to undergraduate and graduate students. Scholarships from the Foundation are awarded on the basis of financial need, academic ability and career interest. Jon Peyton Hudlow & Mark Tamble Memorial Scholarship The Jon Peyton Hudlow Memorial Scholarship was established in 1999 through funding from the General Fund in memory of Mr. Hudlow (1946-1995). He was a Past President of TSHP and the R&E Foundation who died at the age of 48. The Mark Tamble Memorial Scholarship was established in April 1996 in memory of Mark Tamble (1930-1995), who was the District Sales Manager of Smith, Kline & French. He received the TSHP Award of Honor and received the TSHP Industry Service Award twice. Mr. Tamble also served on the R&E Foundation Board for many years. These Hudlow and Tamble scholarships were merged into one combined scholarship in 2013.
