Overview:
The John Chervinsky Emerging Photographer Scholarship was established in June 2016 to recognize, encourage, and reward photographers with the potential to create a body of work and sustain solo exhibitions. The scholarship honors photographer John Chervinsky, whose work explored the concept of time and who passed away in December 2015 following a battle with pancreatic cancer.

• Exhibition: Recipients receive an exhibition of their work at the Griffin Museum of Photography
• Additional Prize: A volume from John Chervinsky's personal library of photography books
