JCF Grants

Overview: The Jewish Community Foundation provides grants to nonprofits and synagogues serving Southern New Jersey for new and innovative programs and services.

Geographic Scope: Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester counties, New Jersey

Award Amount: Up to $5,000 per request; organizations may submit multiple applications

Funding Available:

  • Spring 2026 cycle: Up to $5,000 per request

  • Fall 2025 cycle: Estimated $45,000 total

  • Spring 2025 cycle: Over $41,000 awarded to 22 initiatives

  • Fall 2024 cycle: Nearly $40,000 awarded
  • Eligibility:

  • Nonprofits and synagogues serving Southern New Jersey

  • Organizations launching new and innovative programs/services

  • Programs must begin after January 1 of the following year
  • Focus Areas: New and innovative programs and services benefiting South Jersey residents, including but not limited to:

  • Community programs

  • Educational initiatives

  • Youth programs

  • Adult Jewish learning

  • Community engagement

  • Professional development

  • Social services
  • Funding Sources: JCF Community Grants Fund and multiple endowment funds including:

  • Fannie & Meyer Adleman Family Endowment Fund

  • Fred & Florence Bryen Community Endowment Fund

  • Bush Refrigeration Camden Development Endowment Fund

  • Glenn Cohen Memorial Music Endowment Fund

  • Keren Ami (My People's) Endowment Fund

  • Larry Lerner Memorial Endowment Fund

  • William & Bertha Remer Community Endowment Fund

  • Stella Schaevitz Community Endowment Fund

  • Louis Silverman Community Grants Endowment Fund

  • Leonard & Norma Zelnick Community Endowment Fund
  • Review Process:

  • JCF Grants Committee reviews applications

  • JCF Board of Trustees votes on final approval

  • Results announced in early December (fall cycle) or early May (spring cycle)
  • Grantee Requirements:

  • Program must begin after January 1 of the year following award

  • Reimbursement requests must be submitted by November 30 of the following year

    4. Early December (approximately December 2): Results announced
