Overview
The Jewish Community Foundation provides grants to nonprofits and synagogues serving Southern New Jersey for new and innovative programs and services.
Geographic Scope: Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester counties, New Jersey
Award Amount: Up to $5,000 per request; organizations may submit multiple applications
Funding Available:
- Spring 2026 cycle: Up to $5,000 per request
- Fall 2025 cycle: Estimated $45,000 total
- Spring 2025 cycle: Over $41,000 awarded to 22 initiatives
- Fall 2024 cycle: Nearly $40,000 awarded
Eligibility:
- Nonprofits and synagogues serving Southern New Jersey
- Organizations launching new and innovative programs/services
- Programs must begin after January 1 of the following year

- Larry Lerner Memorial Endowment Fund
- William & Bertha Remer Community Endowment Fund
- Stella Schaevitz Community Endowment Fund
- Louis Silverman Community Grants Endowment Fund
- Leonard & Norma Zelnick Community Endowment Fund
Review Process:
- JCF Grants Committee reviews applications
- JCF Board of Trustees votes on final approval
- Results announced in early December (fall cycle) or early May (spring cycle)
Grantee Requirements:
- Program must begin after January 1 of the year following award
- Reimbursement requests must be submitted by November 30 of the following year
