Background: The Jordan Bennett Weiss Fund was established to honor Jordan Weiss, a fourth grader at Mason-Rice who died in 2003 from complications related to undiagnosed type 1 diabetes. The fund's mission is to educate families and school personnel about the signs and symptoms of type 1 diabetes while providing scholarship and enrichment opportunities.
