Award Amount: $5,000 annual scholarship

Background: J. Richard Oltmann was an amusement industry icon who dedicated his life to the betterment of the industry. He received the Lifetime Achievement Award from AAMA in 2010. Mr. Oltmann passed away on May 30, 2015, after a battle with cancer. His family established this memorial scholarship fund with the American Amusement Machine Charitable Foundation (AAMCF) to continue his legacy and passion for education.
- Students must be attending as full-time students at a two-year or four-year accredited college or university or technical college
- Applicant must submit a letter of recommendation from a full-time employee of an AAMA member company
- Residency: Not required; open to nation-wide applicants
- ACT or SAT test scores are no longer required for application
