International Peace Scholarship Fund

Purpose: Provides scholarships for international women students to pursue graduate study in the U.S. or Canada.

Geographic Scope: International women studying in United States or Canada

Award Details:

Need-based scholarship (not intended to cover all academic or personal expenses)

Maximum amount awarded: $12,500

Lesser amounts may be awarded according to individual needs

At application, applicant must indicate additional financial resources adequate to meet estimated expenses

Examples of additional resources: personal/family funds, tuition waivers, work, scholarships, teaching assistantships, study grants, other scholarships

Eligibility Requirements:

Woman outside the United States and Canada

Seeking advanced degree from accredited college or university in U.S. or Canada

Will return to home country to utilize education to make positive impact and foster global peace

Has full year of formal coursework remaining AND is enrolled and in residence in U.S. or Canada for entire school year; OR is international student attending Cottey College

NOT a citizen or permanent resident of U.S. or Canada (residency for tax purposes only is permitted)

Who Is NOT Eligible:

Doctoral students who have completed coursework and are working only on dissertations (as first-time applicants)

Citizens or permanent residents of U.S. or Canada

Students pursuing only online courses, research, internships, or practical training not combined with formal coursework
