International Peace Scholarship Fund

Purpose: Provides scholarships for international women students to pursue graduate study in the U.S. or Canada.

Geographic Scope: International women studying in United States or Canada

Award Details:

  • Need-based scholarship (not intended to cover all academic or personal expenses)

  • Maximum amount awarded: $12,500

  • Lesser amounts may be awarded according to individual needs

  • At application, applicant must indicate additional financial resources adequate to meet estimated expenses

  • Examples of additional resources: personal/family funds, tuition waivers, work, scholarships, teaching assistantships, study grants, other scholarships
  • Eligibility Requirements:

  • Woman outside the United States and Canada

  • Seeking advanced degree from accredited college or university in U.S. or Canada

  • Will return to home country to utilize education to make positive impact and foster global peace

  • Has full year of formal coursework remaining AND is enrolled and in residence in U.S. or Canada for entire school year; OR is international student attending Cottey College

  • NOT a citizen or permanent resident of U.S. or Canada (residency for tax purposes only is permitted)
  • Who Is NOT Eligible:

  • Doctoral students who have completed coursework and are working only on dissertations (as first-time applicants)

  • Citizens or permanent residents of U.S. or Canada

  • Students pursuing only online courses, research, internships, or practical training not combined with formal coursework
  • Application Period: September 15 - December 15 annually
