Individual Travel Scholarships

Overview: The DCIS Foundation offers scholarships for DPS high school students traveling alone to engage in full-time educational travel (typically study abroad programs).

Award Amount: $1,000 per student

Geographic Scope: Denver Public Schools (DPS) high school students; travel can be national or international

Travel Level: ADVANCED - Students take full responsibility for planning, fundraising, and travel logistics while gaining confidence, self-reliance, critical intercultural skills, and a well-rounded, thoughtful perspective.

Eligibility:

Any individual DPS high school student in good standing (2.5 cumulative GPA or above)

Students traveling alone (not group travel)

Full-time educational travel/study abroad programs

Travel (national or international) must be completed while student is in high school

All schools in DPS are eligible

Travel Options:

Vendor examples include: CIEE, Adolesco, high school study abroad programs, etc.

Application Steps:

2. Watch Orientation Video: Complete "About the DCIS Foundation" short video
3. Fill Out Application Sections:
