Impact Grants (Community Foundation of the Lowcountry)

Impact Grants are competitive grants with a request budget greater than $10,000 and a typical 12-month term, designed to launch new programs and projects, focus/enhance/expand existing programs and services, or invest in a large capital project critical to the nonprofit's mission. Applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofits that are not private foundations and must serve people who live and/or work in the Hilton Head Island, Daufuskie Island or Greater Bluffton area of South Carolina. General operating support, sectarian or religious activities, political activities, grants to individuals, endowments, annual fundraising campaigns, special events and student scholarships are not considered. Nineteen Impact Grants totalling $811,000 were awarded in FY26.

FY2027 Cycle 1: application due October 1, 2026, with the Letter of Intent due September 1, 2026. Cycle 2: application due April 1, 2027, LOI due March 1, 2027.
