IMPACT 100 Pensacola Bay Area Grant

Program Overview:
IMPACT 100 Pensacola Bay Area is a giving circle of women philanthropists. Each member contributes $1,000 annually, with 100% of contributions pooled and awarded to nonprofit organizations in grants of at least $100,000. Since 2004, IMPACT 100 has awarded over $17 million to effective nonprofit organizations. The organization has no paid employees or staff.

Focus Areas:

  • Arts, Culture & History: Initiatives that develop, enhance or preserve the arts, music, culture or history of the Pensacola Bay Area

  • Education: Initiatives that further the educational process or improve access to education for children and/or adults

  • Environment & Recreation: Initiatives that restore or enhance the environment, promote animal-centered care, or improve recreation and fitness

  • Family: Initiatives that strengthen and enhance the lives of children and families

  • Health & Wellness: Initiatives that improve the mental and/or physical well-being of people
  • Eligible Organizations:

  • Tax-exempt public charities under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code

  • Operating in Escambia and/or Santa Rosa Counties in Florida, providing majority of services to individuals in these counties

  • May apply as collaborative IMPACT 100 grant with other organizations

  • Registered with Florida Department of State, Division of Corporations

  • Registered with Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (unless exempt)
  • Project Requirements:

  • Serve persons in Escambia and/or Santa Rosa Counties

  • Expend project funds locally whenever possible and practical

  • Be a new program, expansion of an existing program, or new/expanded collaborative effort

  • Have a total project budget for the full IMPACT 100 grant amount

  • Must be completed within 24-month period
  • What IMPACT 100 Does NOT Fund:

  • Operational deficits or existing debt reduction

  • General operating expenses or overhead (ongoing salaries for existing staff)

  • Exception: Operating/overhead items that are part of new or expanded initiatives; salaries allowed if representing new positions with significant involvement in grant initiative (requires sustainability plan)

  • Capital improvements or renovations unless organization has possessive/ownership interest in property for at least 3 years post-award and landlord consents

  • Capital improvements if property is listed for sale or planned for sale within 3 years

  • Grants to individuals

  • Endowment funding or funds held in perpetuity

  • Interim or bridge funding

  • Partisan, legislative, or political activity

  • Projects of individual churches, synagogues or religious institutions (unless separate tax-exempt entity exists)

  • Faith-based projects requiring participation in religious activities to benefit

  • Projects where benefits are dependent on participation in religious activity, ceremony or service

    Grant Application Process

    Step 1: Register Your Organization

  • Email grants@impact100pensacola.org with your organization name and contact information to ensure you receive all nonprofit community emails
  • Step 2: Attend Nonprofit Workshop & Social

  • Held in mid-April (2026: April 16 at Brownsville Community Center, 3200 West De Soto St. Pensacola, FL 32505)

  • Free event for all nonprofits serving Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties

  • Optional Grants Application 101 Workshop (2026: May 19) available
  • Step 3: Submit Letter of Intent to Apply

  • Deadline: Noon on April 30th

  • Required Attachments:

  • - Copy of Department of Treasury letter affirming tax-exempt status under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3)
    - Latest Annual Report filed with Florida Department of State, Division of Corporations (www.sunbiz.org)
    - Registration confirmation with Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (www.fdacs.gov)
    - Religious institutions must have separate tax-exempt entity documentation (not under umbrella of body of worship)
  • Submission Method: Online via Community Force platform

  • Eligibility Confirmation: Eligible organizations receive email confirmation from IMPACT 100 Grants Committee
  • Step 4: Complete Full Grant Application

  • Access: Only organizations that submitted Letter of Intent by deadline and received eligibility confirmation can access the grant application

    Step 5: Committee Review and Member Voting

  • Process: IMPACT 100 members serve on focus area committees that evaluate grant proposals

  • Selection: Committees select finalists in each of the five focus areas

  • Member Voting: October annual meeting - all members invited to cast votes determining final grant recipients

  • Announcement: Grant recipients announced at end of October annual meeting
  • Application Requirements:

  • Applications must address one of five focus areas

  • Detailed project budget for full IMPACT 100 grant amount

  • Sustainability plan (required for any new positions/operating costs)

  • Timeline for project completion (within 24-month period)
