Overview

Horizon Bank was founded as a community bank in Michigan City, Indiana, and has been putting down roots the right way ever since. Advisors are purposely hired from local communities and empowered to act. Because local knowledge is the most valuable knowledge. The mission of our Horizon Cares Community Grant Programs is to make a positive difference in the future of our communities by supporting education, arts, economic development and community efforts that meet the housing needs of low- to moderate-income families. In addition to the growth and prosperity of our communities through economic development, these programs also help us lead the way in corporate citizenship, volunteering our time and fulfilling unmet needs of our neighbors. While we certainly see it as a service, we approach it more like a responsibility. Application for a Horizon Cares Charitable Grant is annual. Applications will be reviewed by the Horizon Cares Charitable Grant Committee and awarded every January.
