Berks County Community Foundation Berks County Community Foundation was founded in 1994 to help individuals, families, organizations and businesses achieve their charitable objectives. Since that time, the foundation has grown to manage hundreds of charitable funds. Each year, the funds distribute millions of dollars in scholarships and grants to support local students and nonprofit organizations and causes. Henry E. Williams, Jr. Memorial Golf Award The Henry E. Williams, Jr. Memorial Golf Award Fund was established in 2002 in memory of Henry by his family. Henry was a long-time professional golfer and retired head pro at Moselem Springs Golf Club. The purpose of the fund is to provide an annual scholarship to a male or female senior from one of the Berks County school districts (public or parochial) who is planning to attend college to major in the Professional Golf Management Program, or a student who is enrolling in the PGA Club Professional School, or a student who intends to play on a college golf team. Preference will be given to applicants in that order.
