Our Grantmaking We are dedicated to the idea that people can live in harmony with one another and the natural world. We work toward that vision through our LGBTQ Social Justice and Great Apes & Gibbons programs, which have distributed more than 2,000 grants to more than 500 organizations in more than 50 countries. Great Apes & Gibbons Grantmaking The Great Apes & Gibbons Program’s strategy focuses on 24 priority ape-range landscapes across 18 countries in Africa and Asia, as well as two countries, the United States and Kenya, where apes are held in captivity outside of their range.
