CWIP's Vision An equitable, inclusive, and connected social sector. GIRLS Mentorship The GIRLS Committee (Girls Igniting Real Leadership & Service) focuses on mentoring, coaching, and bringing opportunities for leadership development to girls of all ages. The GLMP (Girls Leadership Mentoring Program) starts planning and recruiting mentors in the fall and sessions start in January and run through mid-May. We match 4th, 5th and 6th grade girls at Holy Family School in North Lawndale with a CWIP member and meet twice a month for four months covering a variety of topics. The program starts with an orientation and will end with a walking tour of the North Lawndale neighborhood. GIRLS Committee members can help plan the program, apply to be mentors or both! The GIRLS Committee also hosts a one-day High School Career Conference for sophomore high school girls. The program is designed for the high school girls to meet women from a variety of fields, have a fun interactive conversation with them, and offer some tips and advice for preparing for success. GIRLS Committee members can help plan the program, be apart of the program or both!
