Johnson Scholarship Fund was established by Mr. George Johnson in 2021 to provide resources to African American undergraduates enrolled in the Illitch School of Business at Wayne State University. An Ilitch School alumnus, Mr. Johnson went on to establish his own firm, George Johnson & Company in 1971. The firm has grown into one of the largest locally established CPA firms in the region with offices in Detroit and Chicago. Mr. Johnson is a member of the Wayne State University Mike Ilitch School of Business Entrepreneurship and Innovation Hall of Fame Class of 2020.
