General BCSF Grant Application

Organization: Bethel Community Services Foundation (BCSF)

Geographic Scope: Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta region, Alaska

Focus Areas: BCSF considers three sizes of grants addressing the Foundation's mission and priorities:

Grant Types

• Bridge Grants (Top Priority): Collaboration with other organizations and institutions for community improvements, project planning support, and program start-up funding
• Capital Grants (Equal Priority): New construction or repairing/remodeling existing buildings to better accommodate community services and cultural activities
• Operating Grants: Considered on case-by-case basis (not equal priority)
• Business/Enterprise Funding: Various business/enterprise needs; applicants should have a prepared business plan

Eligibility Requirements

• Tax-exempt non-profit status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code, OR
• Public or governmental agency, OR
• Federally recognized Alaskan Native organization
• Business/Enterprise Investments have no such restriction

Funding Preferences

• Funding in concert with other organizations
• Response to needs outside those covered by traditional funding streams
• Requests identifying unmet needs not covered by other funding sources receive preference
