Overview
Fact (page-stated): annual CIES award honouring a Ph.D. or Ed.D. dissertation that addresses social justice and equity issues in an international context, judged on academic excellence, originality and methodological, theoretical and empirical rigor. Any dissertation written in English at an accredited institution is eligible if final submission occurred between July of last year and August of this year. Any CIES member in good standing, including the author, may nominate; self-nominations welcome. Recipient receives a $1000 USD monetary award and is honoured at the Annual Meeting. All nomination materials due as a single attachment to oed@cies.us by 11:59 pm ET on September 25, 2026.
