Overview

The Spencer County Community Foundation is an affiliate of the Community Foundation Alliance, a network of nine community foundations serving counties in southwestern Indiana. The Alliance provides management and administrative expertise to county-wide community foundations, empowering each to promote philanthropy, build endowment and improve wellbeing in our local communities.. Community Scholarship Program Many of our donors have honored their loved ones, communities, high schools, colleges, or professions by endowing scholarship opportunities through the Community Foundation. We administer separate scholarship funds established by individuals, families, corporations, and organizations to assist local students in pursuit of advanced education. Together, these scholarships make up our Community Scholarship Program. Friends of IU Scholarship Annual scholarship established by Michael and Mary Schriefer and Larry and Charlene Hess to provide scholarships to Heritage Hills High School graduating seniors who plan to attend Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. Selection Criteria Selection will be based on financial need, leadership skills, involvement in community and school activities, and the supplemental documents. Preference will be given to applicants planning to major in education
