Friends of Berks County Public Libraries Fund - Special Projects Program Grant

The Friends of Berks County Public Libraries Fund offers grants for special projects in Berks County's public libraries. Eligible libraries must have state-aided status or affiliate membership. Projects are meant to be temporary and should not be part of the regular budget. Preference is given to innovative projects that can be shared with other libraries. Applications are accepted year-round, with decisions typically made within 30 days, but not during April.

NOTE: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, except applications are not accepted during the month of April. Decisions are generally made within 30 days of application.
The Community Foundation manages more than 300 charitable funds. The funds were created by local individuals, families and businesses to support causes and organizations they cared about.
Friends of Berks County Public Libraries Fund - Special Projects Program
The Friends of the Berks County Public Libraries Fund distributes grants for special projects at Berks County’s public libraries. Public libraries are eligible for grants if they achieved state-aided status or qualified for affiliate membership in the Berks County Public Libraries federated system. Special projects should not be part of the library’s regular operating budget and should run for a predetermined period of time. Special consideration is given to projects that pilot an idea and can be shared with other libraries in the system after the initial grant period. Partnerships with other libraries or organizations are encouraged.
