Frank Huntington Beebe Fund for Musicians Fellowship Grant

The Frank Huntington Beebe Fund for Musicians Fellowship supports talented young musicians from the U.S. seeking to enhance their skills through advanced study and performance abroad, primarily in Europe. Established in 1932, the Fund provides up to $22,000 for one year, covering travel and living expenses. Applicants must propose a well-planned project that enriches their musical journey and should not have previously studied abroad for an extended period. The purpose of the Fund is to provide fellowships for gifted young musicians, generally performers and composers in classical disciplines, who wish to pursue advanced music study and performance abroad, usually in Europe.
Fellowships are generally awarded to musicians based in the United States (although not necessarily U.S. citizens) at the outset of their professional lives, for whom this would be the first extended period of study abroad. A strong, well-planned project of study that will enhance the applicant's life in music must be proposed.
An all-inclusive grant of up to $22,000 will be offered. Fellowships are for one year and are generally not renewable.

Eligibility

Application Requirements:Fellowships are awarded to musicians based in the United States (although not necessarily U.S. citizens) for whom this would be the first extended period of study abroad.Applicants must not have reached the age of 30 by the specified time.Applicants must demonstrate a solid base of accomplishment in order to be considered.
A strong, well-planned project of study that will enhance the applicant's life in music must be proposed.Enrollment in a school or university is not required unless such study is an essential part of the project.

Ineligibility

Musicians who have previously studied abroad for an extended period do not qualify for a fellowship.Beebe Grants may not be combined with other, comparable grants, such as a Fulbright.
