Founders Grants

Overview: Annual grants provided to members pursuing post-baccalaureate (graduate) degrees.

Award Details:

  • Nine grants awarded annually

  • Minimum of $12,500 each

  • Funded through a combination of endowed monies and General Scholarship Fund
  • Eligibility:

  • Must be pursuing a post-baccalaureate degree (graduate-level education)

  • Must meet all general ZTA scholarship eligibility requirements:

  • - Member of Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity in good standing
    - Minimum GPA of 3.0
    - Full-time student status

    Application Process: Apply through the same ZTA Foundation Scholarship application process with deadline February 27.

    Apply through the ZTA Foundation Scholarship application process (see main scholarship program for detailed steps)

    Key Requirements:

  • Complete online application through SmarterSelect

  • Provide unofficial transcript (.pdf or .jpeg format)

  • Secure one recommendation from ZTA officer, advisor, professor, or employer

  • Submit all materials by February 27, 11:59 p.m. PT

  • Select graduate degree option when starting application
  • Selection Criteria:

  • Leadership in Zeta Tau Alpha

  • Academic achievement (minimum GPA 3.0)

  • Active participation in chapter, campus and community activities

  • Financial need
