About The Florida Association for Water Quality Control (FAWQC) is a non-profit association of professionals, founded in 1978, dedicated to managing, improving, and protecting the quality of Florida’s waters. Florida Association for Water Quality Control (FAWQC) Environmental Education (E2) Fund (FL) The FAWQC E2 Fund was established to promote environmental education. FAWQC awards grants for environmental projects at Florida schools, civic or community organizations and awards prizes at Florida science fairs. Funding for E2 Fund grants and science fair awards originate from donations and FAWQC event proceeds. The award is based on the proposed project’s overall environmental value as to: Fostering awareness and understanding of a water related issue; Being cost effective; Basing the project on sound science principles; Promoting involvement of students or citizens; and, Promoting enhancement of a water resource or associated habitat. Funding In general, individual project budgets should not exceed $1,000. Exceptional outreach projects in excess of $1,000 may be considered from time to time. Please contact FAWQC prior to applying for a larger grant.
