Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)

Type: Need-based federal grant

Geographic Scope: United States (available to eligible students at Brightpoint)

Eligibility:

  • Undergraduate Federal Pell Grant recipients

  • Students with exceptional financial need (Student Aid Index of zero or less)

  • Preference given to out-of-state students whose tuition charges are significantly higher
  • Award Amount: Up to $2,400 per year depending on eligibility and funding level

    How to Access: Complete FAFSA. Financial Aid office uses FAFSA to determine eligibility. Eligible students receive notification in Student Center.

    1. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
    2. Must first qualify for Federal Pell Grant
    3. Financial Aid office will review your FAFSA
    4. If eligible, you will receive notification in your Student Center detailing the grant eligibility
