Overview

Fayette Community Foundation Scholarships

Eligibility:

  • Graduating Fayette County high school seniors

  • Students intending to pursue higher education and training beyond high school

  • May attend accredited universities, colleges, or trade schools

  • Priority given to students NOT in the top ten percent of their class

  • Focus on students demonstrating grit and determination

  • All qualified applicants considered

  • Open to students who have overcome obstacles
  • Available Funds:

  • Joe & Carolyn Bailey Scholarship Fund: For Flatonia High School Seniors; supports continued funding for college students after first year

  • Suzy Romberg Scholarship Fund: For graduating seniors; supports continued funding for college students after first year

  • General FCF Scholarships: For Fayette County high school seniors from various schools
  • Mission: Provide financial assistance to local students pursuing higher education or trade school training to become productive citizens of Fayette County and Texas

    Award Recognition:

  • Annual Scholarship Reception held typically in May

  • Scholarship donors and FCF Board meet with award recipients and families

  • Opportunity to build community connections and mentorship relationships

    Application Process

    Timing: Applications typically reviewed annually for graduating high school seniors

    Requirements:

  • High school senior status from Fayette County high school

  • Intent to attend accredited university, college, or trade school
