CAP College Achievement Program Scholarship

Program Description: The College Achievement Program (CAP) helps students and their families plan for, apply to, and access resources to pay for college. CAP advisors meet individually with students and their parents and conduct presentations at schools and community sites.

Award Amount: $1,000 per scholarship; five students will be awarded scholarships

    • Eligibility

    • Target audience: High school seniors in Navarro County
    • Key requirement: Must enroll by December 15 and complete all requirements by March 15
    • Must meet with a CAP advisor a minimum of three times
    • Must complete FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
    • Must submit high school transcript
    • Must submit ACT, SAT, or TSIA test results
    • Must create student and parent FSA ID
    • Must submit resume
    • Use restriction: Scholarships must be used at a Texas college within one year of high school graduation

      Additional Incentives

    • Juniors who enroll, complete requirements, and meet once with a CAP advisor before July 15 receive a $50 gift card

    How to Apply

    Application Process

    Enrollment and Completion Timeline:
    1. Enroll in CAP program
    2. Complete by December 15 (for seniors to be eligible for scholarship drawing)
    3. Complete all requirements by March 15 to be entered into drawing

    Required Completion Requirements:
    1. Submit high school transcript
    2. Submit ACT, SAT, or TSIA test results
    3. Create a student FSA ID
    4. Create a parent FSA ID
    5. Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) during senior year
    6. Submit resume
    7. Meet with a CAP advisor a minimum of three times
    8. Provide consent for photo/video usage (optional)
