Geographic Scope: CEC service territory in Western Pennsylvania (Allegheny, Armstrong, Butler, Clarion, Forest, Mercer, and Venango counties)

Program Type: Member-to-member assistance program funded by unclaimed capital credits and donations through the Round-Up Program

Purpose

Assists families or individuals in need who have their permanent residence on CEC lines with help paying electric bills during financial hardship.

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be a CEC member for at least six months
• Must have been eligible for Low Income Home Energy Assistance (LIHEAP)
• Must have received a current disconnection notice
• If LIHEAP funds went to a different utility, proof is required (applicant still eligible for Family Fund)

Award Information

• Maximum Amount: $700
• Award amount depends on the disconnection notice amount but will not exceed $700
