Program Overview

This grant enables GLFHC to distribute Climate Health Preparedness Kits to homeless patients to mitigate climate-related health risks. The program distributes seasonally appropriate supplies such as:
• Winter survival gear
• Summer cooling items
• Misting tents for extreme heat
• Warming tents for extreme cold

Target Population

• At least 500 individuals per season (1,000 total for project year)
• Individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability
• Residents in shelters
• Unsheltered individuals living in encampments
• Those temporarily housed or hospitalized without stable housing

Program Goals

Empower people experiencing homelessness or housing instability to rebuild their path toward long-term stability and better health.
