Overview

NOTE: Only Enterprise Mobility team members and their spouse or domestic partner who regularly volunteer or serve on a board or committee can apply for a grant on behalf of the community nonprofit organization that they are actively involved with. Foundation's Purpose The Enterprise Holdings Foundation was established by founder Jack C. Taylor to give back to the communities in which our partners and employees live and work. The Foundation provides charitable support to worthwhile, non-profit initiatives that are actively supported by Enterprise Holdings employees and their spouses/domestic partners. Contributions are made to thousands of local communities across the globe where the organization operates. The Foundation’s philanthropic and community relations mission is to ensure that we maintain our leadership position as a valued and responsible corporate citizen by enhancing the quality of life in our communities consistent with the organization’s business goals and objectives. The Foundation supports relief projects or causes that Enterprise Holdings deems important as they arise, such as natural disasters that affect our employees and partners. Enterprise Mobility™ Philanthropic Giving Who can submit a grant application for funding? Only Enterprise Mobility team members and their spouse or domestic partner who regularly volunteer or serve on a Board or committee can apply for a grant on behalf of the community nonprofit organization that they are actively involved with that meet our Giving Guidelines.  If you are a team member trying to apply, the application link is located on the SharePoint site and look for “Grant Applications” on the right hand side. This is accessible only to team members.

Eligibility

We will consider funding for organizations providing direct support services in the following areas:Health and Human Services: Organizations that provide vital healthcare services as well as support human welfare, persons with disabilities, underserved/under-resourced communities and pressing social issues.Education: Higher education institutions (colleges, universities, and trade schools) as well as K-12 schools that support students with physical or mental disabilities.  Business fraternities that emphasize professional development, networking opportunities and leadership skills for students pursuing careers in business[1]related fields can also be considered.Arts: Organizations that promote the arts, music, theater and visual media in our communities. Animals: Organizations that support animal welfare and wildlife conservation as well as animal rescue, rehabilitation and protection.Military and Veterans: Organizations that provide aid, resources and advocacy for veterans, militarypersonnel, and their families.Disaster Relief: Organizations that support humanitarian crises and natural disasters by offering emergency assistance, disaster response and long-term recovery efforts for non-man-made disasters.Environment: Organizations that support conservation, environmental protection and natural resource preservation.

Ineligibility

In addition to the criteria noted above, grant funding will NOT support the following types of projects or programs:Organizations without 501c3 status or the equivalent in-country charitable statusCharities created by Enterprise Mobility employees, spouses or legal domestic partners (serving as a volunteer or Board member of such charities is acceptable)Charities that primarily provide pass-through donations or charities created by partners that support self-dealing practices (e.g. nonprofit organizations that primarily benefit the partners directly or the partner’s own employees)School organizations including clubs, parent teacher groups, social fraternities and sororities and alumni associations, or tuitionFees, dues or memberships; sponsorship, fundraising, special events, virtual events or event tickets; media, including podcasts; subscriptions; telethons; or beauty pageantsMan-made disasters; or terrorist organizations or groups that condone acts of violenceLobbying, political and labor organizationsIndividuals or individual needsMulti-year grants (grants must be approved each grant cycle)Funds for ongoing nonprofit organization operating expenses, salary costs or budget deficitsDonation of vehicles or rentals
