Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Program

Funder: HUD (administered locally through Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs, Jefferson County Department of Community Services, and City of Birmingham)

Geographic Scope: Jefferson County, Alabama and City of Birmingham

Program Purpose: The Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) program is designed to provide financial assistance and support to help prevent homelessness, provide emergency shelter, and facilitate the rapid re-housing of individuals and families who are homeless.

    Application Type: Community Development Block Grant Program and Emergency Solutions Grant Program applications
