Overview

Early Career Award in Paediatric Pain Research The IASP Pain in Childhood SIG is accepting applications for the 2027 Early Career Award in Paediatric Pain. The award will be presented at the 2027 International Symposium on Paediatric Pain (ISPP), 13 – 16 April, on the Gold Coast, Australia. The recipient will be notified by 6 April 2026 and will be honoured at ISPP 2027 by presenting a plenary lecture and receiving: Free registration at ISPP 20273-night hotel accommodations and economy airfare for ISPP 2027A cash prize of CAD $1000 The recipient will have one week to accept the award, confirming that they will attend and present a plenary lecture at the 16th International Symposium on Pediatric Pain 2027 (ISPP 2027), 13-16t April on the Gold Coast, Australia.

Eligibility

Applicants must be an active member of IASP and the Pain in Childhood SIG.Applicants must be within 10 years of their highest degree (e.g., PhD, MD, or the equivalent) at the time of application.Applicants must have performed independent research that was not under the direction of a senior scientist.Applicants must have published work in international refereed journals or periodicals.Consideration is given to those who have taken time out early in their career due to family commitments, illness, or other reasons.Applications are welcomed from researchers from all disciplines/specialties who are contributing to the field of paediatric pain, and from all geographic regions.
