Doris Hardinger Roome Scholarship Fund Grant

The Doris Hardinger Roome Scholarship Fund, established in honor of Doris Hardinger Roome, supports undergraduate and graduate students in Hawaii who demonstrate leadership and community service. Eligible applicants must be full-time students with a minimum GPA of 2.7 and financial need, and they are required to submit a letter of recommendation. Preference is given to prior recipients who continue to meet eligibility criteria. This fund encourages active community involvement and academic achievement.

NOTE: The Application deadline is represented by the Pre proposal deadline. The Letters of Recommendation deadline is represented by the Full Proposal deadline.
The Doris Hardinger Roome Scholarship Fund was established in the memory of Doris Hardinger Roome, a longtime resident of Kailua. This scholarship was made to benefit undergraduate and graduate students who participate in community service and show leadership abilities.

Eligibility

Be a full-time student
Be an undergraduate or graduate student at a two or four-year college or university
GPA of 2.7 or above
One letter of recommendation from a non-related teacher or community services member speaking to the student’s community service and/or leadership abilities.
