Distinguished Alumnus Award

Program Overview: Award established in 1977 to recognize alumni for exceptional enduring achievements and leadership that have brought pride and recognition to Cleveland Clinic.

Purpose

Honor alumni for exceptional, enduring achievements and leadership reflecting remarkable achievement in their professions balanced with dedicated contributions of time, energy and resources to the community.

    Eligibility

  • Graduates from recognized Cleveland Clinic training program
  • Minimum of one (1) year of formal training required
  • Must have distinguished themselves in one or more of the following areas:
  • - Clinical Practice - Education - Research - Community Leadership - Service
  • Nominees can be recognized posthumously
  • Current members of Alumni Association Board of Directors are not eligible
  • Recipients of past awards can be honored multiple times, but cannot receive the same award more than once

  • Nominating Committee chaired by President-Elect of Alumni Association Board reviews nominations biennially
  • Committee votes on eligible candidates
  • Committee reserves right to abstain from granting awards if qualified candidates are not nominated
