DCCF: Large Project Grants

The DCCF Large Project Grants offer funding between $1,500 and $15,000 to support innovative projects that address significant needs in Decatur County. Priorities include initiatives that foster community engagement and can leverage additional funding. Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofits or governmental agencies serving Decatur residents. The foundation discourages funding for individuals, political activities, and projects solely reliant on DCCF support. Grants are awarded three times a year, emphasizing impactful community contributions.

Large Project Grants​ provide anywhere from $1,500 to $15,000 to organizations seeking to meet big needs in Decatur County.
Funding Areas
Most of our grantmaking efforts are centered around the areas of
civic and community, education, health and human services, arts and literacy, historic preservation, safety, and youth and recreation.
High Funding Priorities
New and innovative projects or programs, including startupsProjects which Foundation funds can be used as match, seed money, or challenge grant funding from other donorsProjects which will make a significant impact in the communityProjects which act as a catalyst for action and community participationLarge Project Grants
Low Funding Priorities

Eligibility

Grantees must be registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization under the Internal Revenue Code, a governmental agency, or a qualified educational institution.DCCF grants are only awarded to organizations benefiting Decatur County residents. Organizations need not be located in Decatur County, but the program must benefit our community.
