Overview

Curvey Fellowship

Status: Active component of Curvey Scholar Program

Purpose: Help students gain valuable life experience through travel within the United States and Canada

    Program Goals

  • Students broaden their perspectives
  • Pursue interests in a hands-on way
  • Further develop personal values
  • Gain meaningful travel experiences

    Eligibility

  • All Curvey Scholars are eligible
  • Available post junior year at Brewster
  • Available through sophomore year of college experience

    What the Fellowship Offers

  • Students can design independent travel experiences to any location within the United States and Canada
  • No set parameters in terms of focus or theme
  • Students encouraged to plan travel experiences of genuine interest to them
  • Upon returning, students reflect with the community on lessons learned and accomplishments

How to Apply

How to Pursue a Fellowship

Application Requirements:
1. Complete an essay for consideration
2. Submit an accompanying budget plan
3. Work with The James C. Curvey Endowed Program Director to guide efforts
4. Obtain final approval from program director

Process:

  • The James C. Curvey Endowed Program Director will work with each student individually

  • Director provides guidance throughout the planning process

  • Director reviews and approves final travel plans and budget
