About the Scholarships Program Coral Gables Community Foundation is honored to partner with our fundholders to administer generous scholarships as well as manage the Foundation’s own scholarship funds. The Foundation and its fundholders have proudly awarded over $2.9 million in scholarships in just the last decade. Most scholarships offered through the Foundation’s scholarship program are based on academic achievement and financial need. Culinary Arts Scholarship This scholarship is given to graduating seniors from Coral Gables Senior High School enrolled in the Culinary Arts Program and who plan to enroll in a culinary arts and/or hospitality program in college. Overall academic success, a love for the culinary arts/hospitality fields and an intention to study culinary arts/hospitality in college are factors in the evaluation process. Financial need may be an additional factor in the evaluation process. Value The value of the Scholarship is from $2,000 to $10,000, and is split over two years or four years. Checks are sent directly from the Coral Gables Community Foundation to the bursar’s office of the recipient’s college or university. This scholarship is eligible to be paid for non-U.S. schools. Maintenance In order to maintain the scholarship for two years, the recipient must Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA throughout his/her college studies.
