CPPS Heritage Mission Fund Mini-Grant

'Type Five: Mini-grant is for organizations that have already received a grant within the past year and find themselves in need of funds not in excess of $5000 for unanticipated costs. Please contact the Executive Secretary to submit this type of grant.' The other four types (start-up support, operating support, expansion/enhancement, capital projects) run through the Letter of Inquiry process and ordinarily range from $5,000 to $100,000; the Mini-grant is the one type routed directly through the Executive Secretary. 'Only one request may be submitted by an organization in a grant cycle. This allows for more organizations and projects to be funded.' 'If your organization received a CHM Fund Grant in a previous cycle, you must submit a report along with or prior to your Letter of Inquiry before being considered for additional funds.' Grants are reviewed by the Distribution Committee of the Board and evaluated against the Fund's values — Precious Blood Spirituality, promotion of the dignity of and respect for all life, healing and reconciliation, solidarity with the poor, emphasis on the common good, and responding to unmet needs of the time; each grant should show how one or more of these values is essential to the services offered in the project or program.

This is Type Five in the CHM Fund's grant types and does not go through the January Letter of Inquiry window. The same underlying requirements apply: the organization must be a 501(c)(3) non-profit in the United States or hold the equivalent designation abroad with a U.S. sponsor, requests must meet the Fund's values and priorities, and a report on the previous grant must have been submitted before applying again.
