CPPS Heritage Mission Fund Grant

'The CPPS Heritage Mission Fund, imbued with the gospel message and the mission and charism of the Sisters of the Precious Blood, responds to requests for financial support for programs and projects that promote the values of Precious Blood Spirituality, dignity of all life, healing and reconciliation, solidarity with the poor, the common good and meeting the unmet needs of the time.' 'Ordinarily grant amounts range from $5,000 to $100,000 (maximum),' across five application types — Type One start-up support for a new program/project, Type Two operating support for existing programs, Type Three expansion/enhancement of existing programs, Type Four capital projects for facility construction or renovation, and Type Five mini-grant. Beginning in 2026 the Fund moved from two grant cycles per year to ONE cycle per year, combining the funds from both previous cycles into one so the same amount is given out per year. 'Letters of Inquiry (LOIs) will be accepted during a 2-hour window - The second Tuesday in January (1/13/2026) starting at noon Eastern Time U.S. (9am Pacific) ending at 2pm Eastern Time U.S. (11am Pacific). ALL Letters of Inquiry submitted within that 2-hour timeframe will be considered.' The 2027 LOI window is the second Tuesday in January, 1/12 in 2027, and 'LETTER OF INQUIRY & APPLICATION DEADLINES ARE FIRM.' 'The Letter of Inquiry submission time is over. We will not be accepting anymore Letters of Inquiry submissions in 2026.' The applicant organization must be a 501(c)(3) non-profit in the United States or hold the equivalent designation in a foreign country; organizations covered under a USCCB group exemption must submit the group-exemption letter and the USCCB directory page; a foreign organization must have a U.S. 501(c)(3) sponsor willing to accept and distribute the funds, must supply a letter from that sponsor with its tax ID, mailing address and contact, and must find its own sponsor — the CHM Fund does not provide that service. 'Beginning in 2026, organizations receiving grants are required to sit out one year before applying again' — a 2026 grantee must wait until 2028; applicants who are not awarded may apply the following year. 'CHM Fund will fund salary requests up to 50% of a salary or a maximum of $50,000 of the total salary request,' and organizations must show where the other 50% will come from. Capital requests must submit at least one quote/bid for the building project or equipment. 'CHM Fund cannot pay for expenses incurred prior to a request being approved. Therefore, requested grant period must begin AFTER CHM Fund Board of Directors meet to consider the request.' Final reports are due by February 28 the year after a grant is awarded, or prior to applying for additional funding, and a report must be completed before another grant can be requested. The Fund is a singular donor/sponsored Fund originated by the Sisters of the Precious Blood in Dayton, Ohio in 2017.

The Letter of Inquiry (LOI) is the first step and must be completed in its entirety. LOIs are accepted during a 2-hour window only — the second Tuesday in January (1/13 in 2026; 1/12 in 2027), starting at noon Eastern and ending at 2pm Eastern. ALL LOIs submitted within that window are considered, so there is no need to rush when the link goes live. You must register as a New User for each form even if you registered in a previous cycle; logins are deleted after each grant cycle and you cannot create an account before the link goes live. Organizations invited to submit a full application are notified by email by the first Friday in March (3/6 in 2026; 3/5 in 2027) — those not invited are notified then too. Invited organizations have 3 weeks to complete and submit the application (3/27 in 2026; 3/26 in 2027). Board approval comes no later than the last Saturday in September, grantees are notified after the fall board meeting in late September/early October, and checks and official grant letters are mailed in early October and must be deposited by the end of the year. Financial statements must be the latest full fiscal year in U.S. dollars — less than a full year's data is not accepted. Only one request may be submitted by an organization per cycle.
